Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed various aspects of human life, including the education sector. This community service workshop focuses on enhancing AI literacy among lecturers in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Indragiri. The workshop engaged 25 lecturers from three study programs using participatory education methods. The workshop integrates theoretical and practical approaches to AI implementation in academic activities, covering AI fundamentals, educational applications, research methodology enhancement, and ethical considerations. Expert speakers in AI and education technology employed interactive teaching techniques, hands-on AI tools demonstration, and practical implementation exercises. Research findings indicate significant transformation in participants' understanding, with 88% of attendees successfully developing more systematic approaches to integrating AI in their teaching and research activities. This workshop contributed to improving digital literacy, reshaping educational paradigms, and assisting lecturers in adapting to the digital transformation era in higher education.
