PELATIHAN PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI MENDELEY UNTUK PENULISAN KARYA ILMIAH BAGI MAHASISWA FAKULTAS EKONOMI DAN BISNIS UNIVERSITAS ISLAM INDRAGIRI

Abstract

This community service is the provision of training on activities on how to use the Mendeley application for students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Indragiri Islamic University who will complete their final project or thesis. Writing scientific papers is very important in the world of education, both to improve quality and quality for lecturers and for the completion of the final project for students. With the importance of these papers, scientific papers must be written as well as possible, especially in making citations or references. Currently there are still many students who are taking their final project and have not been able to make citations properly and correctly, and it is done automatically. Mendeley is a reference management application that is used to create citations in writing scientific papers. This training is conducted offline. Students who take part are students in semester 5 and semester 7. The method used in this activity is divided into 2 stages, namely (1) material understanding of Mendeley and its features and functions, and (2) workshops on using Mendeley. The purpose of this activity is to find out how to manage references and make a good and correct bibliography based on the right writing format.
