Fintech innovations in the form of digital wallets (e-wallets) and the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) have encouraged people to shift from cash-based transactions to more practical and efficient non-cash transactions. This transformation of the digital payment system not only impacts the technical aspects of transactions but also influences people's transaction behavior. This study aims to analyze how the transformation of the digital payment system through the use of e-wallets and QRIS influences changes in people's transaction behavior in Tembilahan. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observation, and documentation of e-wallet and QRIS users in Tembilahan. The results show that the use of e-wallets and QRIS provides convenience, speed, and flexibility in transactions, thus encouraging people to adopt digital payment systems in their daily lives. Changes in people's transaction behavior are reflected in the increasing frequency of digital payment use, changes in payment method preferences, and reduced dependence on cash. However, this study also found that people's digital literacy levels still vary, and some users still have concerns regarding transaction security and personal data protection. In the local context of Tembilahan, the transformation of the digital payment system is gradual and influenced by community habits, technology experience, and digital payment infrastructure support. This study concludes that e-wallets and QRIS play a strategic role in driving the transformation of the digital payment system and shaping changes in people's transaction behavior. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the government, digital payment service providers, and future researchers in developing an inclusive and sustainable digital payment system.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 MANKEU (JURNAL MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN) https://ingreat.id/index.php/mankeu/article/view/257 THE ROLE OF INSURTECH IN IMPROVING ACCESS TO DIGITAL INSURANCE SERVICES A STUDY ON THE QOALA APPLICATION 2026-01-14T13:25:06+00:00 Zikrillah iky zikrillah@gmail.com Vira mauliana Viramauliana@gmail.com Muhammad Fauzan muhammadfauzan665@gmail.com
The development of digital technology is driving the transformation of insurance services through the emergence of Insurance Technology (InsurTech). This study aims to analyze the role of InsurTech in increasing access to digital insurance services through the Qoala application. The study used a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods. The results show that the Qoala application provides convenience, efficiency, and transparency in digital insurance services and increases public insurance inclusion. However, digital insurance literacy is still needed to minimize the risks of using digital services. Thus, InsurTech plays a crucial role in the modernization of insurance services in Indonesia.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 MANKEU (JURNAL MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN) https://ingreat.id/index.php/mankeu/article/view/269 QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY (FINTECH)-BASED INVESTMENT RISKS IN TEMBILAHAN 2026-01-15T05:39:19+00:00 Risma Tia Meilinda risma20211101@gmail.com Lili Suryani lilisuryani5277@gmail.com Syafrinadina syafrinadinamanajemenunisi@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze and describe in depth the understanding of the Tembilahan community regarding the risks associated with Financial Technology (Fintech)-based investments. However, these developments are also accompanied by an increase in the risk of default that needs to be monitored periodically through the Financial Services Authority's official indicators, namely the 90-Day Default Rate (TWP90) and the 90-Day Payment Success Rate (TKB90). This study aims to analyze the development of these two indicators as a reflection of the level of credit risk in the fintech lending industry during the period from January 2024 to January 2025. The research uses a quantitative descriptive method by utilizing secondary data from OJK monthly publications. The results showed that throughout the observation period, TWP90 was in the range of 2.37%–2.96%, while TKB90 showed stable performance in the range of 97.05%–97.63%. The downward trend in TWP90 in mid-2024 indicates improved credit quality and the effectiveness of risk mitigation, while the increase in TWP90 at the end of the year indicates seasonal pressures affecting borrowers' ability to pay. In addition, the inversely proportional relationship between TWP90 and TKB90 was seen consistent throughout the study period. These findings confirm that although the fintech lending industry is in a relatively healthy and controlled condition, credit risk dynamics still need to be anticipated through the strengthening of risk assessment systems, collection strategies, and periodic monitoring by regulators and industry players.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 MANKEU (JURNAL MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN) https://ingreat.id/index.php/mankeu/article/view/275 TEMBILAHAN COMMUNITY'S UNDERSTANDING OF PEER TO PEER LENDING SERVICES: A QUALITATIVE STUDY 2026-01-31T07:53:12+00:00 Anjeli Dhira Elfira anjelianjeli01@gmail.com Andi Mansur andi010703@gmail.com
The development of digital technology has encouraged the birth of various innovations in the financial sector, one of which is financial technology (fintech) services in the form of peer to peer lending (P2P lending). The presence of P2P lending is expected to be able to increase financial inclusion by providing quick and easy access to financing for the public. However, the rapid development of this service is not always accompanied by an adequate level of public understanding. This research aims to explore and understand in depth the understanding, perception, and factors that affect the people of Tembilahan towards P2P lending services. This study uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of the selected Tembilahan community using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing by applying triangulation of sources and techniques to maintain the validity of the data. The results of the study show that the level of understanding of the Tembilahan community towards P2P lending is still relatively low. People generally only understand P2P lending as an online loan without understanding the mechanism, legality, and risks that come with it. Public perception of P2P lending is ambivalent, namely on the one hand it is seen as a quick solution to fund needs, but on the other hand it is considered risky due to high interest rates, aggressive collection, and misuse of personal data. Digital financial literacy and information sources, especially social media, are the main factors that affect public understanding and perception. This low understanding has an impact on people's attitudes that tend to avoid P2P lending altogether or use it without careful consideration.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 MANKEU (JURNAL MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN) https://ingreat.id/index.php/mankeu/article/view/285 UTILIZATION OF FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY IN THE LIFE OF THE TEMBILAHAN COMMUNITY 2026-01-31T08:33:12+00:00 Yopi Mayendra Pratama S mayendra492@gmail.com Junita ahira Putri junitaahirap@gmail.com
The development of digital technology has brought changes to the financial system, one of which is the emergence of Financial Technology (FinTech).
